Instant Beverages

Instant beverages are particularly useful in treating coughs and hoarseness. They help to loosen phlegm and unblock the nose and sinuses.

We use substrates such as dextrose, sugar or maltodextrin or combinations thereof in this delivery form. These main raw ingredients are mixed with water and glucose. The base mass is then added to using aromas, phyto ingredients, active pharmaceutical ingredients or extracts.

Once the ingredients have been mixed to form a homogenous mass, this can be used as a powder or processed to form a granulate. When making granulates, any powder which is still moist is pressed through a sieve to produce the shape and grain size required for the granulate. This is then passed through a drying tunnel for 2 minutes. This gently drying process helps to ensure that all of the active ingredients and aromas remain in the granulate and will retain their effect so that it can be released when they are dissolved in cold or warm water.

To this day, 60 years after the invention of the granulation process, we continue to develop this process, making sure that we are always a step ahead of the market's requirements.

We can also agglomerate or apply fluidised bed drying.
